Attending the workshop on environmental sustainability with Zero Waste Center on Koh Phangan Island, Surat Thani Province, from June 21st to 25th, 2020, was a delightful experience for us at Bamboosaurus Studio. During this event, we exchanged knowledge and shared our experiences in various fields where each of us has expertise. The workshop garnered interest from diverse groups, including neighboring construction teams, local residents, and international enthusiasts. This served as an opportunity to showcase our work, create jobs, and share fundamental knowledge about bamboo.

We presented basic information about bamboo and exchanged experiences in constructing bamboo buildings in different formats. A highlight of this workshop was the introduction of techniques used in a bamboo building competition we participated in China. We had the chance to transmit and demonstrate these techniques to the participants. During our brief stay, we engaged in knowledge exchange, experienced different ways of living, and immersed ourselves in local culture. This unique experience brought us happiness and a sense of connection with nature, the friendly people, and the joyful atmosphere.

This inspiring encounter motivated us to continue sharing our knowledge and understanding with others. We hope that our interactions have contributed to a more beautiful world, where people appreciate the magnificence of nature, cultivate friendliness, and cherish the atmosphere of joy. We trust that these shared experiences will encourage others to follow suit, fostering a world that is truly worth living in.
