This event is organized for the benefit of the community. In addition to the main objective of collecting data for designing spaces, there is also a desire for community involvement in the exhibition. A city should be a safe space for everyone, where people can live comfortably. This involves providing individuals with the right to choose and participate in public spaces within the city. We have chosen the youth residing in the community as the primary target group because we believe they are a group that can embrace new inspirations.
In this event, we provide hands-on learning experiences for the youth, allowing them to create tangible works that become part of the exhibition. We believe that what happens can serve as inspiration in craftsmanship, environmental awareness, and the hope for opportunities to use their interests for future benefits. The specified items for use include bamboo musical instruments (rain stick), simple bamboo lamps, and bamboo weaving. The process starts with the distribution of mentorship pairs among the youth, encouraging discussion and selection of materials. During certain stages that require specialized tools, mentors take over, emphasizing the youth’s creative thinking.
While not every step involves hands-on work from the youth, the focus is on encouraging their thoughts and imaginations. For tasks requiring specific tools, mentors take charge. The emphasis is on utilizing their creativity and imagination to create something they can take home. The event concludes with a discussion summarizing the activities, feelings, and feedback.
